Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first therapy session?

Your first session focuses on getting to know you, your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. It is a comfortable, judgment-free space where we explore what you need and how I can support you. You are welcome to ask questions at any time.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes, though extended sessions may be available upon request.

How often should I attend therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, which helps build momentum and support consistent progress. Frequency can shift over time depending on your needs and goals.

Do you offer in-person or online therapy?

I offer in-person, phone and virtual sessions through a secure online platform so you can access support in the way that feels most comfortable and convenient.

What issues do you specialize in?

I support clients with a variety of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression

  • Relationship and communication issues

  • Boundary-setting and self-esteem

  • Life transitions

  • Child and adolescent therapy

Do you accept insurance?

While I do not bill insurance directly, you can submit your receipt for reimbursement. Payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer, and a detailed receipt will always be provided after your session once payment is received.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a session fee.
